Thank you to OMF supporter, Dave Sexton, for putting together your passion for cars and a cure for ME / CFS. Dave’s Classic Car Run was a great success and introduced a new audience to ME / CFS, increasing awareness and fundraising. The following is what his club shared.
“On the 8th of July, Opel enthusiasts and many other makes of classic car owners converged in the Lakeside town of Loughrea for the 1st ME / CFS Research Classic Car Run organized by one of our own members. The preparation and planning that went into organizing this event paid off, with over 40 cars taking part in the run. The weather was perfect for the run, which covered some amazing scenery by Lough Derg and then back by a driver’s road, twisting, rolling and pothole free. In excess of €2,500 was raised for this valuable research, which is all done in an effort to save lives of millions throughout the world affected by this terrible life constraining illness.”
