Join Us for #MayMomentum
Every May, Open Medicine Foundation (OMF) unites with supporters around the world to honor International ME/CFS Awareness Day on May 12—a powerful moment to stand with millions affected by this devastating disease.
Through our May Momentum campaign, we come together to accelerate research, expand medical education, and raise global awareness for ME/CFS.
With your invaluable support, OMF is rapidly advancing the search for effective treatments and a reliable diagnostic tool.
🔬We’re advancing over 45 active research projects to uncover the underlying mechanisms of ME/CFS and identify effective treatments, including our new research model, CTN Lite, to make research participation more accessible.
🧪 Testing New Treatments — Through 6 pilot studies and clinical trials, we’re testing new treatment protocols for better patient outcomes.
📄 Sharing the Science — With over 54 publications, we are disseminating findings to advance knowledge and treatment options worldwide.
🩺 In partnership with Bateman Horne Center, our Medical Education Resource Center (MERC) has educated nearly 20,000+ healthcare professionals in 95+ countries, helping build a more informed, compassionate medical community.
MECFSIs: Share Your Story
Last year you shared your powerful and moving stories about what ME/CFS is. This year’s #MECFSis prompt is: the questions you carry.
We’re inviting patients, loved ones, and care providers to share the questions they carry and show how this illness shapes daily life.
Want to participate? Here’s how:
- Write a question on a sign or paper
- Take a photo holding it
- Add a caption that expands on your experience
- Post it with #MECFSis and tag us @OpenMedF and @LowEnergyLounge
This May Momentum, you can help accelerate this work.
