Don & Betsy are four days into their journey. They are doing great and look great. They have shared this latest picture.

_____

Soon Don and Betsy Gemmecke are walking across England on the 192 mile Wainwright Coast to Coast Trail and are dedicating their walk to their daughter, Becky who has had Myalgic Encephalomyelitis / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME / CFS) for over 6 years. They hope to raise funding for research for this complex and debilitating chronic disease.

ME / CFS is an “invisible” disease that has serious impact on one’s quality of life. ME / CFS symptoms, which are made worse by standing upright, include: extreme exhaustion, non-restorative sleep, brain fog, post exertional malaise, joint pain, abdominal issues and more.
For the last 1 ½ years she has been in a patient at the Stanford ME / CFS Initiative. This Initiative collaborates with the Open Medicine Foundation which has brought in top experts from a variety of fields for a new research project to understand and find a cure for this terrible disease.
